There Are No Failures Just Repeated Opportunities

There are no failures except for the failure to try.

I was listening to an interview that Simon Chan was conducting with a lady named Kelli, who is a very successful network marketer. I don't remember her last name, but I remember that it was long!

She said, "There are no failures, just repeated opportunities." I thought that was pretty profound.

There Are No Failures Except For the Failure to Try

https://youtu.be/ro4eldfwWJY

As we go through life, sometimes we try to do different things, but sometimes we don't do things and sometimes we don't even make the attempt to try! In other words, our failure is the failure to try.

We don't give ourselves a chance to see if we can be successful. We just don't even attempt it because we don't want to fail.

Some things we persue for just a bit longer and we do get a bit better, but then that fear comes back to haunt us and we quit trying again. We feel like we have failed.

Once in a while, we will latch on to something that we follow through with and we are able to fight through the failures. We succeed and we become very good at it.

How Can Failure Lead to Success?

One good example is learning how to ride a bicylce. If you stop trying to learn how to ride a bike the first time you fall or crash, you will never be able to ride a bike.

Learning how to play a musical instrument is another great example. When you first start learning how to play, you are going to make a lot of mistakes, and it is going to sound bad!

When I was young, I started learning how to play a saxaphone. And it sounded horrible! There is nothing that sounds worse than a saxaphone played badly unless it is the bagpipes played badly!

I played for a couple of years, and I never did get very good at it, but I did get better than when I had started.

Later in life, I decided that I wanted to learn how to play a guitar. When you are first learning how to play a guitar, the first few months your fingers are going to get a little sore.

So you not only have the fear of failing when you start learning but you also have some actual physical discomfort while learning. IF you perserve and push through the rough times, you will eventually learn to play the guitar.

That is the thing about failure. If you fear failure, it will keep you from attempting to do many things that you could succeed at if you will just push through the fear of failure. Without failure there is no success.

The second part of her quote was about repeated opportunities. There are no failures, there are only repeated opportunities. If you look at it from that perspective, after every failure there is an opportunity to try again. A repeated opportunity.

As long as you are doing those repeated opportunities, you really haven't failed, because you are not done yet. You only fail when you stop and you haven't accomplished anything.

Failure is not being unable to accomplish something, failure is when you stop trying. As long as you are trying, you can improve. You don't have to be great, you just need to get better.

That's my little thought I gained while doing my studying, and I am passing it along to you.

First Thing To Do As a Network Marketer

The First Thing To Do As a New Network Marketer

The first thing to do is a question that most new network marketers have as they start their new business. My answer is going to be somewhat different from what you would might expect and perhaps somewhat controversial because it is probably not the answer your sponser is going to give you.

Most sponsors are going to give you one of several answers. They are going to tell you that the first thing that you should do is to make a list of your family and friends and talk to them about your new business. They will tell you to start with your warm market. Other sponsors will tell you NOT to start with your friends and family but to begin advertisng to reach a cold market, or people that you do not currently know.

The First Thing To Do Before You Do Anything Else

My answer is different, but remember that it is only my opinion as to what is the first thing to do. You will want to talk to your sponsor about the first thing that you should do as I don't want to get you in trouble with your sponsor. But please consider what I am suggesting.

One of the things that you will get when you start your network marketing business is a sales kit. It could be an actual physical kit, or it might be a download from the internet or it might even be a website. But one of the things in that kit will be a section that might be called "Rules and Regulations," or it might be called "Policies and Procedures," or it might be called "Terms of Compliance," or something similiar.

I suggest that the first thing to do is for you to find that section and read it first before you do ANYTHING about finding customers or business partners. It will tell you what you can and what you CANNOT do or say with your network marketing business as far as products or the business opportunity is concerned.

If you read those policies and follow them, you can save yourself and your company a lot of trouble.

Your first reaction may very well be "Well, this is my own business, and I can do what I want!" Yes, it is your business, but it is your business in much the same way that a McDonalds owner owns his own business. You may own the business, but there will be policies and restrictions just like the ones that the franchise owner will place on you in order to protect the franchise.

It is the same way with network marketing. Most companies are going to have rules and regulations that you will need to comply with. That may seem restrictive, and some of the terms of compliance ARE very restrictive, but there are reasons that they are so restrictive.

Those policies are there to keep the network marketing companies out of trouble with the regulatory agencies and also to keep YOU out of trouble.

All too frequently we see network marketers online that are making claims about their products or their income that they really shouldn't be making. For example, you can't claim that your product is going to cure any kind of disease or that it can even be used as a treatment for a disease. You can't claim that your product will solve your skin problems or your digestive problems.

Unless your product has been approved by the FDA for the condition that you are treating, you cannot make that claim. If the regulatory agencies find that those claims are common in your company, they can and will penalize or even shut down your company. And that is why your company has a strict compliance policy to protect them and you from lawsuits or punitive actions.

There are also compliance rules concerning income claims. I often see network marketers saying that they have made thousands of dollars from their network marketing business. They really shouldn't be saying that, either. The FTC or other agencies will want an official company document specifiying what the average income is for a distributor, and that document needs to be provided to every prospect that you are trying to enroll.

Those averages don't look very impressive, because they are averages from all distributors, whether they make money or not. But we are still required to present that official document to anyone that is taking a look at the business.

By the way, if your upline doesn’t have a proven system for you to generate 20+ qualified leads per day online, check out this FREE Video – Click HERE

The product and income claims are something that we as network marketers need to police. It is up to us as professional network marketers to help keep our companies out of trouble, because we can cause our companies a LOT of trouble by the product and income claims that we make.

So my recommendation for the first thing to do is that you go and find the terms of compliance for your company and read them. Follow them! Keep you and your company from making negative headlines in the news media. Find out what you can and what you can't say, because the regulatory agencies can and will take actions against companies that are saying and doing things outside of what is permitted.

Once you are familiar with your particular terms of compliance, go out and market and promote your company in all the ethical and legal ways that you can! Make it a great industry!

Helping Other People Get What They Want

I have learned that helping other people get what they want enables us to get more of what we want.
Recently I have been studying a little bit of training by Ray Higdon, and if you don't know who Ray Higdon is, he is one of the top online marketers on the internet today.

Helping Other People

He taught me that as we are doing our personal study and learning, when we find something that we get value from, we should turn around and teach what we learned to other people. As a result, we not only learn it better, but we can also benefit and help others. I got value from what I learned today in my study and I want to share it with you.
Recently, while reading an issue of Networking Times, I ran across an interview with a network marketer by the name of Lance Conrad. Here is what Lance had to say:
"We really want to turn network marketing around, from the old get-in now, get-rich-quick approach, which is all about posturing and pressure and fear-of-loss marketing, to what we call pull marketing, which is about making a difference in people's lives. Guess what? The money will come if you provide the service and put people first."
I think we can all agree that if we do more helping other people get what they want, then we will get more of what we want. If we as network markets, during the process of talking to people, find out what they want and help them to get it, we will be more successful. Whether that be more money or more time freedom, a couple hundred dollars more a month or a six-figure income, all of that is available through network marketing. We just need to share what we know about how to get that.
Yes, the money and products are important, but the main thing about network marketing is just helping people and giving value to as many people as possible. If we can do that through our network marketing business, then I think we will be successful.
So that is what I learned. And as Ray Higdon says, if we learn something of value, we should pass it around and share it. If you find this video to be of value to you, please share it with others and give me a comment below.
If we can do more helping people get what they want, we can get more of what we want.

Finding Content the Ray Higdon Way

Finding content for a blog or video is a big hurdle for some people thinking about starting a blog or creating a video. Video or blogging is a great way to get leads, but finding blog content ideas on a consistent basis is important.

I just watched a video that Ray Higdon created about how to find blog content. If you don't know who Ray Higdon is, he is one of the top online marketers out there, and he provides training for those who would like to learn how to market online.

Finding Content With Two Simple Method

I just want to share a couple of things that the Higdon training pointed out.

First he talked about was how finding blog content is much simpler than people believe. Many people think that they would run out of ideas so quickly that it would make blogging or making videos impossible. He gives a list of at least ten places where you can find something to blog about.

For example, for network marketers, you can look up network marketing forums on the internet and you WILL find a bunch! In all those forums there will be people asking questions and asking for advice on all kinds of network marketing topics. I looked at just one forum and within 20 seconds, I found these two topics: "How do I find a good sponser" and "Should I lead with the product or opportunity."

Right there are two topics about which you could easily make a blog post or video. If you can help someone answer those questions, you have just created value for someone and that value can be converted into compensation for you.

By the way, if you would like to check out Ray Higdon training on how to create a blog, this link will take you to his training:

One of the other things that he talked about was the need to take notes when you are viewing training materials. If you really want to learn, you should be taking notes whenever you are viewing training materials. Those notes and the things that you learn are potential money makers, and you want to capture them so that you can use them at a future time. They are potential blog content!

After you have learned something, either from the training or directly from your notes, you turn around and teach what you have learned. The easiest way to teach is either through a video that you create or through a blog post. You will be able to give value to numerous people. And when you give value to people, you can find ways to monetize your value.

That is how Ray Higdon does it!

These are just two of the tips that I got from Ray's video. He has much more training that is available for anyone wanting to enhance their online marketing. In fact, the Higdon training is comprehensive for all kinds of marketing.

Here is the link for that training: rogercox.ultimatedblogbundle.com

Using Facebook For Marketing

Facebook marketers dream of using Facebook for business, but they would like to do it in such a manner that they are not spamming or taking the risk that they will be thrown into "FaceBook Jail."
As a Facebook marketer, you want to get as much exposure as you can. A private person may not want the world to know him; but as a business person, the more people that know you and your brand, the bigger your business will be.

Using Facebook for Business Tip for Promoting Products

You want people to know who you are and what you look like. You want to be the face of your product or industry. For example, if you market a weight-loss product, whenever your friends or contacts are talking about weight loss, you want YOUR name and face to come to their minds.

If you are using Facebook for business, you will want as many "likes, friends, and followers as you can get. When you write a post for Facebook, Facebook will serve your posts to only a small portion of your Facebook fans. Very few of your friends will actually see your post. Facebook has metrics that determine who gets to see what, unless you are paying for an ad. To get a large amount of the free exposure, you need a large base of Facebook fans.
One way to grow the size of your Facebook market is to find Facebook groups that are related to your product. You can do a search in the search bar in FaceBook to find those groups. For example, suppose you sell homemade lawn ornaments. You would do a Facebook search for lawn ornaments and request to join those groups.
Begin following those groups and notice the people who are commenting in those groups and notice what topics they are talking about. Contribute your own comments and valuable content as the opportunity presents itself.
But, DO NOT try to sell your product in those groups! You will come across as spamming the group, and the group members will just ignore your posts because they will consider you to be a spammer. Even worse, the administrators of that group will delete your posts, and you could even be banned from the group.
By the way, if you are interested in more ways to use Facebook for business, you will be interested in this offer!
Developing relationships with the group members is a much more friendly and productive method to use Facebook as a marketing tool. Offer meaningful comments in the public forums, and even go to the individual personal Facebook pages of some of the group members and get to know them. If you have the option, send them a personal message.
Most of the time those personal messages will go into a hidden "other inbox" unless you have been accepted as a friend. But you can still develop a friendship through the public comments in the group. When the time is right, then request to be a Facebook friend.
Once you are friends, you can talk about all kinds of topics on either your personal pages or through private message. You can even then talk about your homemade lawn ornaments and send pictures! Just don't talk about them on the group's page as that could get you in trouble.
Your goal is to become known as the "go to" guy or expert for your niche. If you are the lawn ornament expert, you want your new fans to think of you whenever they think about lawn ornaments or see lawn ornaments in the Home Depot store.
So that is my free FaceBook tip! If you hunger for more about using Facebook for business, be sure to check out my offers below and on the side of this post. You can also see more on my Facebook Page
Until next time!

The Lottery Ticket Mentality

Today I would like to spend just a couple of minutes talking about the lottery ticket thinking that we find quite often in our profession of network marketing. Many people call it the lottery mentality.

The lottery ticket mentality is what makes people buy a lottery ticket for a few dollars with the hope that they are going to be winning the lottery and receive a lot of money in return for the few dollars they "invested."

It also applies to other areas of our life wherever we expect to get a lot for the small amount we give, whether it be time or money.

Often times we see the lottery thinking in network marketing as well. Too many times we network marketers, in trying to convince our potential clients that they should join us, tell them that it is so easy that anyone can do it. We tell them that the product is so good that it sells itself, and all they need to do is to get just a few people to buy it; or in the case of the opportunity, that they just need two or three people to join them. Sometimes we even promise that we will do the work for them.

The potential recruit then has a destructive thought planted into his mind. He is thinking about two or three people that he knows that would be "just perfect" for this opportunity. So he joins thinking that those two people are going to make him wealthy. That is the lottery method.

And then what happens when those people don't make him rich? If the new network marketer was counting on those people, and they tell him "NO," he will probably just quit, or at least not do anything to make his business work.

Network marketing is NOT a lottery. It is real work. And it is hard. Network marketing is simple, it is not complicated, but it IS hard. You have to put in some work and take a lot of action. Your success is up to you, not up to your upline or your downline.

Fortunately there is a lot of training available if you do decide to really work at your business and to not treat it like the lottery ticket method. You can actually learn how to attract people to your business so that you don't have to chase them down and try to get them to be interested in what you have to offer.

You can actually attract people who ALREADY are interested in what you have. Then you just have to show them what you have and then let them make the decision as to whether to join you or not.

That is what I do....I teach people how to attract interested people to them without promising them the moon and without promising that I will do all the work for them.

Let's get rid of the lottery ticket mentality in our network marketing profession!

Don't Compare Yourself to Others

Do you find that you are comparing yourself to other network marketers, either in your own company or in other network marketing companies? Many marketers feel that other marketers are their competition.

Should I Quit? No! Don't Even Think About It!

Network Marketing Business Evolution

How has the network marketing business changed in the last 40 years. It is really starting to get exciting!

Monday, June 20, 2016

How to be Persistent

How to be persistent without being pushy?

Have you ever been approached by a network marketer that just won't take "no" for an answer? They just keep pestering you, right? They have not learned how to be persistent and what that means. How did you feel about the approach, about the company, and even about the marketer?

As network marketers, we need to be persistent in our process of finding potential clients and not be over persistent or over-bearing. Don't turn them off to what you are offering. If you have to persuade them against their will to buy your product or to join your opportunity, they will not stay a customer for long, and if they join your business, they will not be productive.

If you do not jeopardize the relationship, there is a chance that the person may come back to you  years down the road and ask if you are still selling your product. At that time, they may be ready. But if you have turned them off your product or opportunity at the beginning, they probably will not come back to you. If anything, they will go to someone else.

I have had people come back to me several years later and ask if I was still selling my product. So I know from experience that it works.

Be persistent in the process of finding customers; don't be too persistent in trying to get a particular person interested in what you have to offer, particularly if there is no interest.

Fall in love with the process of finding customers. Don't think one particular person is going to make or break your opportunity or business.

If you found value in my remarks, find me at my Health & Freedom with Roger Cox Facebook page and follow me for more network marketing training!

A recipe for success in direct selling

Hands holding a Success Sphere sign on white backgroundDirect selling makes it possible for millions of people to live the life they love. You heard right…millions! An estimated 15.6 million people are involved in direct selling in the United States and more than 92 million worldwide.
You might be wondering how so many people can find success. While there is no silver bullet, there are some common themes:
    • Plan a schedule of daily, weekly and monthly goals. Review them often to make any necessary changes and improvements. For example, “I want to earn $400 this month and will do it by doing x.”
    • Get out there. Direct sales requires you to be sociable and enterprising. Get out there and talk to people about your product. Set a goal to promote your business to 3, 5 or 10 people every day. The more you do it, the more comfortable you’ll get. Soon it will become second nature.
    • Make use of technology. As a USANA Associate, you can market yourself in several ways: a personalized website, social media and blogs.
    • Have passion. If people sense that you believe in the product, they will be more likely to make a purchase. Enthusiasm is contagious!
    • Use your time wisely. If you’re juggling the demands of a full-time job and/or family, you will need to carve out time to succeed.
    • Have a dedicated workspace. This is a great way to separate your business from family life. Keep your work area neat and organized so you can think more clearly. Plus, there may be some tax benefits to a dedicated work area.
The sky’s the limit with direct sales. Keep reaching for the stars!

Take time for yourself

Me, me, me! In a busy life that is often focused on others, ‘me’ might actually be the last person on your mind.
A mother is late for school and work and rushing with her children for a funny stress concept in the busy cityIn fact, ‘me’ is often bumped way down on the priority list, well below piles of laundry that are waiting to be washed, the briefcase full of papers that accompanied you home, the kids’ ballgames tonight, or attending another committee meeting.
In this fast-paced world, many people have a hard time slowing down. We are constantly in ‘go’ mode, ready to move from one activity or responsibility to the next. Finding time for family activities can be a challenge. Finding time for yourself may just seem impossible, or even selfish.
But making time for yourself is not selfish. It’s necessary. Time alone is important to refresh the mind and reduce stress. If you’re constantly feeling frazzled, you aren’t going to be the best version of yourself. It’s all tied together!woman resting in hammock
Try this: Take some time – even if it’s just an hour a week – to do something you enjoy, whether it’s reading a book, hiking a trail, or just sitting and enjoying nature. (Don’t forget to put away your smartphone!)
And here’s a little surprise. Time for yourself does not necessarily have to be spent alone. Sometimes, carving out time for an activity with a friend or spouse or even the kids—if that activity is what you really enjoy—counts as time for yourself!
Take this challenge and run with it. Work your ‘me’ time into your weekly schedule. It’s good for your overall health and happiness, which, after all, is what we are all looking for.

What does it take to be an entrepreneur?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to ditch the 9-5 job and be your own boss? Maybe you aren’t looking for a full-time commitment, but you’re interested in supplementing your income in a way where you set the boundaries.
Are you just a little curious what it’s like to change the lives of others with products you love and believe in yourself? USANA Associates have all been in that boat asking the same questions. Wondering if you fit the bill? Take a look in the mirror and see if these traits fit:
  • Tenacity: How do you deal with failure? Do you feel defeated and give up, or do you brush yourself off and give it another try? Failure is a reality in business, but it’s how you address it that matters.
  • Passion: People want to buy products or services from people who have a contagious enthusiasm. They’ll associate you with the product, and vice versa. Make sure that association is a good one!
  • Vision: People with vision will tell you how their product or service fits into the big picture. How does it make life easier, more affordable or enjoyable? Customers are drawn to people that can express this from the heart, not a canned sales pitch.
  • Confidence: Are you self-assured? Do you believe in the product or service you’re selling? Confidence is king. There’s no room for wishy-washy!
  • Flexibility: How willing are you to change your approach or strategy to improve your outcome? Flexible people are willing to go with the flow. If what you’re doing isn’t working, you need to be willing to try something new.
  • Rule-breaking: Surprised by this one? Only a minority of Americans are entrepreneurs, which means it’s considered a non-traditional route. Why be shackled by an unfullfilling job when you can break the mold and have more control of your destiny? Full time entrepreneurship not in the cards right now? Take it on in your spare time before and after work. Breaking out of the box just might lead you to what you’re looking for!

Which is better for you? A Twix or a Kit Kat?
I like them both. They taste about the same, but one is better for you than the other.
Answer: Kit Kat. Neither of these chocolate wafers candy bars will win any nutritional awards, but the Kit Kat will save you 20 calories and rack up less saturated fat and sodium.
Twix packs three times the sodium (90 milligrams) in three fun size pieces than what you would get in a comparable serving of Kit Kat.
Wondering how other candy stacks up? This post has the answers --> http://whatsupusana.com/20…/…/which-halloween-candy-is-best/

Pessimism Not Always Bad?

Do you think the glass is half full or half empty? While people tend to think that being optimistic is the best option, some degree of pessimism is not so bad. If people always expect the world to go their way, they may not be prepared to deal with disappointment. Being prepared for something not to work out allows people to plan ahead. On the other hand, always expecting the best tends to make people more resilient when things do not go their way.
Surprisingly, even when faced with problems, most people are optimistic about the future. In this Time magazine article, author Tali Sharot calls this tendency for optimism the ‘optimism bias.’ One might expect children to be the ones who are optimists. However, research shows that adults, even older adults, are more likely to be optimistic than pessimistic. In addition, this bias is not limited to any one culture; all cultures share it.
What does that mean for you? Being an optimist will help you find those ‘silver linings.’ Your brain will help you find the positive aspects of negative situations that all people face at some point in their lives. So it is worth the effort for you to consciously change the way you think about your daily activities. Thinking positive, which your brain is apparently wired to do, will provide the motivation to face those difficulties in life. But remember that it is okay for some pessimism to slip in; it will help you handle the bumps in the road.

Bob Proctor Quoted in Networking Times

This is a quote from Bob Proctor as quoted in the Networking Times Magazine recently.

"We have to begin by understanding ourselves, and improving our self-esteem. We've been raised to be dependent on the corporation, the boss, the company.

We're programmed to believe that if you go to school, get a good education and a job in a big company, that you're safe. Of course everyone knows that that's not true. People have been being laid off, downsized, reengineered, or fired by the hundreds of thousands—many are walking the street wondering what's happened."

There is another, and perhaps better, way.  Network marketing just may be a way to break free of convention.  At least your fate is in your own hands and not somebody else's.

Age Discrimination.......I Can Feel Your Pain!

I am currently sitting in a training session for my responsibility as an employment specialist and listening to the concerns in this room about the difficulty of age discrimination in getting a job interview. It is so tough for them. There is so much frustration being voiced.

These people are trying to secure jobs to provide for their family. Some of them have been pushed out of jobs because of their age, and others just want to re-enter the workforce but just can't seem to find the key.  Sometimes the jobs they are qualified are just not out there anymore.

We also talked about how most online application procedures are intended to limit the number of applications human HR personnel has to process.

Occasionally these older applicants might be offered an interview, but often times can't get past the interview stage.  It is really frustrating for them.

It really increases my appreciation for network marketing. Network marketing doesn't care about your age. It is all about how you perform.  You don't have to jump through hoops just to get in front of a person who can/will hire you.

I really would like to spread the word that there ARE other options out there.

Write It Down!

I saw a great tidbit of advice from Jim Rohn today.  Here is his quote: "Be a collector of good ideas, but don't trust your memory. The best collecting place for all of the ideas and information that comes your way is your journal."

I can't tell you how valuable this advice is.  I have read a good number of books, and each one has had a goldmine of information within.  But how many times do we read a book and then quickly forget what it said?

Sometimes a quick read will help us to feel good as the concepts ring true to us, and sometimes that is helpful to just influence our attitudes.

But to get the meat out of the book, you need to study and internalize the concepts.  But how do you remember the good stuff out of all the books you have read?

What I do is to keep an online journal open on my computer at all times.  Then when I am reading a book and a passage jumps out at me, I either write it or copy and paste the nugget into my journal.  Then that valuable thought is available whenever I need it by opening my journal and rereading the information.

Many online journals are keyword-searchable so you can find the posts that contain the thought that you are looking for.

This technique may slow down your reading some, but the advantage is that the thoughts that can change your life are available to you even after you no longer have to book.

Give it a try and see how it goes!  If you already keep a journal for your thoughts, share with us which journal application you use.

I Tried, But It Just Ain't Working!

I recently read some thoughts from Jordan Adler from the book Best Worst First by Margie Aliprandi and Martha I. Finney, and those thoughts really stuck in my mind.

Suppose you wanted to be an airline pilot. Or a plumber. Or a doctor.  Perhaps your dream is to run a marathon with an acceptable time.  Or anything else that you could dream of. Would you expect to be able to accomplish any of those things with just a few half-hearted efforts? Would you expect that the Olympic medalist on the stand was able to get there without any bumps or bruises?  Would you expect them to fail or to fall a time or two?  Or maybe even a bunch of times?

As Jordan says, "There is going to be a level of pain that comes with those dreams." You just know that there is going to be some discomfort to get to where you want to be.

But how do we approach our network marketing business?  Do we expect to gain a level of success with half-hearted efforts and quit after a few rejections?  Sometimes we see the successful people on stage and we don't realize the hurdles and challenges that they had to overcome to get to their spot on the stage.  We think that we are failures because we haven't reached that level yet, but we fail to recognize we all will have tremendous challenges, but the successful ones will continue on until they overcome.

The lesson?:  If you have a dream to be successful in network marketing, know that you are going to have some growing and developing to do.  Identify the skills that you lack and begin developing those skills.  Work as hard at your networking marketing business as you would if you were pursuing a graduate degree from a university.  Take the falls and failures in stride and continue on.

If the dream is worthwhile, the hurdles will be stepping stones.  IF you keep working and growing and refuse to quit.

Teach What You Learn

I just read a posting by Rosie Bank, a person in my industry that I am acquainted with.  She was telling about one of her associates that attended a lot of workshops and training but was feeling like she lacked a lot of what her trainers had.

Rosie's advice to her was to let what was going into her mind come out.  In other words, don't sit on the knowledge that you acquire.  Teach someone else what you know.  Two things will happen:  1.  You will begin acting like the people that are doing the training.  You will start acting on what you know. 2.  You will begin attracting others who want to know what you know.  You will gain a following.

Which is a good thing.

Thinking of Quitting? Read This First.

How is your network marketing business doing?  Are you accomplishing what you set out to do?  Taking some little steps every day toward your goal?

Or are you getting discouraged and just about to the point where you want to give it all up and just stop?

I would like to share a story I read by Ramin Mesgarlou in a magazine that I subscribe to.  A network marketer was being asked about his success.

Here's the story:

“And you did really well right off the bat?”

“Not exactly.  Three months after I joined, my sponsor quit.  Soon after that, his sponsor quit, and I didn’t even know the guy above him.  Now I had no upline support, and was trying to figure this thing out on my own.

“I finally said, “That’s it - I’m going to stick to the restaurant business.  I quit!”

“Right around then some hotshot was coming in from Alberta to give a meeting, and he asked my upline if I would pick him up at his hotel to bring him to the meeting venue.

When I picked him up, he said, “So, I hear you want to quit?”

I said, “Yeah.”

“Why?” he asked.

“I don’t know.” I replied. “It’s just not working.”

“Okay,” he said, “let me ask you something.  Is this business holding you back from your current business?”

“I had to admit, it wasn’t; I was still running my restaurant.

“So do you have a better alternative?” he continued.  “Do you have something else as a backup plan?”

I didn’t.

“If this isn’t holding you back, and you have no other plan, then why quit?”

This made sense to me.  I went back to my restaurant and told my family, “I don’t care what I have to do, we’re going to make this happen.”

Three-quarters of success in this business is commitment.  This was the moment I decided I was going to do this.

So....what about you?  Do you have an alternative?  If not network marketing, what?  If your network marketing business is not holding you back, why not keep doing it?

It is worth thinking about.
