Reconnecting with Old Friends on Facebook

Reconnecting with old friends on Facebook is a powerful way to build your business online. You might have this long list of Facebook friends, and some of them you chat with quite frequently.

However, for many of them, you probably haven't talked with them for a very long time, and in some cases, maybe you haven't connected with them at all since they became your Facebook friends.

Steps to Reconnecting With Old Friends on Facebook

How do you go about connecting with friends on your Facebook friends list that you haven't talked to in a very long time?

How do you reconnect with friends on Facebook to share your business with them without making it seem awkward?

How do you make the transition with those people to where you can talk about where they are with their life? How do you go from not connecting with them at all to effortlessly offering them either your network marketing business or the training to do online marketing?

Here are a couple of things that you can do to make connecting with old friends easier. The first thing that you can do to connect with friends that you haven't talked to for a long time is just to contact them!

Be honest! Tell them how stupid you were for not staying in touch with them and that you would really like to connect with them now!

Start talking to them about the things that they talk about on their Facebook page. Those topics are probably important to them. Ask them questions about those topics.

For example, if you see that he is into real estate, you can ask him about his real estate experience. Ask him questions and perhaps a conversation might develop.

Then you can ask him how long he has been in real estate and if he enjoys it. Just go with the conversation flow. Make it a conversation.

This process can easily take several days or weeks. You don't have to do this all in one conversation!

At some point, ask him if he had ever considered doing something other than real estate. Listen to his answer, and you will begin to see if he has a need or desire that you might be able to suggest a solution. You can find out if they are satisfied with where their vocation choice has led them and if they are happy with where they are at at this point in their life.

In this way, you can determine their motivation or desire for doing something different. You can then make the choice of whether you want to offer them your help, or to just continue the conversation and to just be friends.

If there is a possibility that they might be a good fit with you as a business partner, then you could say something like "You know, I don't know if this would be a good fit for you, but I thought I would throw it out there to see what you think. If it is something that might work for you, then we can talk."

You don't want to be forceful or "hit them over the head" with your offer. You don't want to be cramming your business down anybody's throat. You only pursue it if the other person thinks it might be a good fit.

And the only way you will know if it is a good fit for them is to start up a conversation and to ask them!

If you engage in conversation with them and find a need, then you can offer your solution. If you don't find a need, then don't offer your solution.

To summarize: Reconnecting with old friends can be an excellent way to expand your business

Start talking to those friends on your Facebook friends list that you haven't talked to much at all. Apologize for not staying connected to them, and just start a conversation.

Many of them will respond, and then you can begin to ask them questions about how they are doing and how their profession is doing. Ask them if they are happy with whatever they are doing and whether they would be open to looking at something different.

Depending on their answers to those questions, you can decide that you want to offer them a chance to look at what you have to offer, or you can decide not to mention anything at all about your opportunity.
