Take the Action to Increase the Learning

If you take the action, you will make your learning more effective.

What do I mean by taking the action you will make learning more effective?

If you are a profession network marketer, I bet that you have already done your personal development for today. Isn't that what we as network marketers do? We believe in personal development.

We read books, we listen to podcasts and audio media, we watch videos and webinars, and we attend events. We are always learning, and that is what is needed if we want to become successful network marketers.

But sometimes we get all this learning in our head, and we don't do anything with it. We neglect to take the action.

Take the Action, Don't Keep All Your Learning in Your Head

My faith has a often-quoted saying, and it is "ever learning, but never come to a knowledge of the truth." We as network marketers tend to do that, especially if we have a little lack of self-confidence in ourselves. So we will take one more course, we will attend one more seminar, or we'll take a few more pages of notes. Then we forget to go out and take action on what we have just learned. We procrastinate and we don't do what we already know to do.

Learning is fine, and we need to do it; but learnining by itself will not create an income for you in network marketing. It's not going to grow your network, and it's not going to grow your business.

The key is to take the action. THAT is where you grow, and that is where you really do the learning.

As an aside, if you need a system for learning what to do and then be given the tools to implement what you have learned, this is what I use

You may have had this experience when you first began your business. You really studied your business presentation and the compensation plan thoroughly. You thought you knew it really well. Then you got in front of your first prospect, and you froze up. Your mind went blank. And you realized that you did't actually know your presentation as well as you thought you did.

But the more you do that presentation, the better you get at doing it; and you actually learn and you begin to KNOW the presentation. It is the same thing with prospecting, recruiting, and asking for the sale. You can do it all you want in your head and know it very well in your head; but until you actually do it, you really don't learn it completely.

We need to be learning all the time, but we also need to take what we have learned and use it to get value out of it. Otherwise we are ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of it. We just don't progress as far as we can.

Once you have learned something, then go out and do the action. Action will cement the learning and also teach you things that you would have not learned otherwise. It bumps up the learning level tremendously.

Be learning. Be always learning. But at the same time, don't forget to take the action relative to what you have learned. Start small. Do baby steps. Start from where you are currently at, but begin to take action and use what you have learned. Take action now!

That is the way that successful businesses are built.
